Memorial services for Milner Jane “Millie” Thomas, 81, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Mrs. Thomas passed away at Thomasville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Thomasville, GA, on Monday, November 24, 2014.
Mrs. Thomas was born on December 1, 1932, in Meridian, MS, to the late William Maury Young and Roberta Culpepper Young. In 1951, she married Carroll Morris Thomas, who preceded her in death on October 18, 2005. She retired as a bank executive with Peoples Bank and Trust Company. She was an award winning artist and an avid Auburn War Eagle fan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo, GA.
Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Thomas of Cairo, GA, Carroll M. Thomas Jr. of Mount Dora, FL; grandchildren, Johnaca Kelley and husband, Beau Christison, both of Trussville, AL, Mitchell Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Tessa Thomas, all of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Mirrol Christison of Trussville, AL; brothers and sister-in-law, Woody and Elna Jane Roberts of Fayette, AL, Judd Roberts of Fayette, AL; and a sister, Maury Ann Sanders of Fayette, AL.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Sanders.
