Graveside services for Royal Cook to be held Thursday

Graveside services for Cecil Royal Cook, 83, of Cairo, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo. The Rev. Paul Jones will officiate. Mr. Cook passed away at Pinewood Nursing Center, Whigham, Ga., on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.
Mr. Cook was born on Dec. 9, 1929, in Cairo, to the late Cecil Franklin Cook and Ollie Mae Gainous Cook. He served his country in the U. S. Army. On July 22, 1950, he married Bernice Sellars Cook, who survives. He was a retired salesman with Harrison and Ellis in Cairo and Frank Anderson Sales and Service in Tampa, Fla.  Royal loved to read and was an avid outdoorsman.    
Survivors include: his wife, Bernice Sellars Cook of Cairo, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Adams of Calvary, Ga., Lynn and Kim Bearden of Tallahassee, Fla., Anne and Terry Brown of Tallahassee, and Carol and David Prince of Douglasville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Cook of Cairo; grandchildren and spouses, Shawn and Erika Harrison of Cairo, Justin and Emilee Bearden of Tallahassee, Kevin Bearden and Emily Henning (Fiancé) of Bainbridge, Ga., Kristin Ciaccio of Tampa, Fla., Nicholas Ciaccio of Douglasville, Ga.; great-grandson, Jake Bearden of Tallahassee, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Joelyn Cook of Cordele, Ga., Jimmy and Judy Cook of Bainbridge, Ga., Larry and Katherine Cook of Cairo, and Becky Kelly of Las Vegas, Nev.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Cecil and Ollie Cook; his grandson, Lee Robert Marshall; his sisters, Helen Poole and Betty Pyrz; and his brother, Charles Cook.
