Elizabeth Maxwell to be memorialized Tuesday

Elizabeth Lee Windham Maxwell

Mrs. Maxwell was born on October 2, 1921, in Cairo, GA, to the late Berry M. Lee and Maggie Stephens Lee. She worked for the Grady County Board of Education as a substitute teacher for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Grady General Hospital and of the Ladies Auxiliary of Grady County Farm Bureau. She loved to cook and work in her flower gardens. She was a wonderful homemaker, a faithful member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church and an active member of the Morning Glories ministries.
Survivors include: husband, Leonard Maxwell of Calvary, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Frankie Windham of Calvary, GA, David Maxwell of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Lauri W. and Vann Parrott of Dixie, GA, Jeffrey and Abby Windham of Cairo, GA, Kaylee Maxwell of Athens, GA, Caroline Maxwell of Bainbridge, GA; great-grandchildren, Jacob Parrott, Ben Parrott, and Anna Lauri Parrott, all of Dixie, GA; Maxwell Windham, Maddox Windham, Miles Windham, all of Cairo, GA; sister, Geraldine Harrison of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, James Lee of Thomasville, GA, Robert Lee of Cairo, GA and Weyman Lee of Cairo, GA.
Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Windham; parents, Berry M. and Maggie S. Lee and a brother, Ronald Lee.
