Friday services planned for James T. Ulmer

James T. Ulmer

Services for James Thomas Ulmer, 79, of Attapulgus, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April, 30, 2010, at Harvest Assembly of God, Bainbridge, GA, with Rev. Malcolm Parker officiating.  Burial will be in Attapulgus Community Cemetery, Attapulgus, GA.  Mr. Ulmer passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at his home in Attapulgus, GA.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Ulmer, Steve Ulmer, Terry Ulmer, Bruce Lynn, Brian Carnes and Tarrell Bennett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Flemming, Virgil Finuff, Edward Deal and Bill Cooper.   
Mr. Ulmer was born on April 18, 1931, in Whigham, Georgia, to the late Clayton Ulmer and Irene Booth Ulmer.  He served his country in the United States Army and was a retired foreman with the Engelhard Corporation.   
Survivors include: wife, Mavis Lynn Ulmer of Attapulgus, GA; son, James Ulmer of Bainbridge, GA; daughter, Elizabeth Ulmer of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Clayton and wife, Jennifer Ulmer of Jacksonville, FL, Jimmie Weiss of Atlanta, GA, Freddie Weiss of Atlanta, GA, Sara Weiss of Spartanburg, SC; brother, John Ulmer of Whigham, GA; step-children, William Bruce Lynn of Tallahassee, FL, Theresa L. Carnes of Bainbridge, GA; step-grandchildren, Kristy L. Mock of Tallahassee, FL, Josh Carnes of Bainbridge, GA, Matthew Carnes of Bainbridge, GA; step-great-grandson, Bryce Mock of Tallahassee, FL.    
Mr. Ulmer was preceded in death by: his first wife, Inez Ulmer; his daughter, Elaine Weiss; and 4 deceased brothers and sisters.
