Syrupmakers fall to Rams

The Cairo Syrupmakers held the Worth County Rams to just one run through five innings before the Rams exploded for 6 runs in the sixth inning and five more in the seventh to beat the Makers 12-1.  Cairo was held to just one run and a hit by Trey Kimmel.  The loss dims the Syrupmakers hopes of winning a region championship, though they are still very much in the playoff race.
Cairo plays Westover Friday at 5 p.m. at home and will recognize their seniors before game time.
