Wednesday services planned for Evie Harry Braselton
Evie Harry Braselton, 64, of Salem, AL, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Box Springs, GA after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home in Cairo, GA with Rev. Robert Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo. Serving as pallbearers will be Leroy Vickers, Jr., Steven Vickers, Jeremiah Johnson, Adam Harry, Hank Harry and Tony Thomas.
Mrs. Braselton was born June 16, 1945 in Richland, GA to James Floyd and Susie Ethel Adams Harry. She had lived in Salem for the past 18 years but called Cairo “home.” She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother, Floyd Harry, Jr. and by her great grandson, Peyton Perry.
She is survived by her husband, Boyce Braselton of Salem; by her son, Terry Atkinson (Melissa Gibbs) of Cairo, GA; by two daughters, Wanda L. Williamson of Richland and Kim Brickey (Richard) of Box Springs; by her brother, Charley Harry (Debbie) of Preston, GA; by two sisters, Marie Thomas (A.J.) of Cairo and Judy Johns (Clyde) of Dawson, GA; by ten grandchildren: Leroy Vickers, Jr. (Brooke), Jennifer Vickers, Jessica Johnson (Jeremiah), Susie Perry (Daniel), Steven Vickers (Kay), Courtney Atkinson, Brandon Carroll, Dylon Carroll, Tesa Carroll and Logan Carroll; by five great grandchildren: Leroy Vickers III, Trevor Vickers, Will Allen, Jaelah Johnson and Jada Vickers; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
