Eloise D. Gainous

Services for Eloise Deese Gainous, 85, of Cairo, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Combs officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Gainous passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at the Brynwood Center, Monticello, FL.
Active pallbearers will be Martin Prince, Benny Prince, R. B. Gainous, Bobby Palmer, Sonny Cox, and Kent Harvey.
Mrs. Gainous was born on July 20, 1924, in Ozark, Alabama, to the late James Lloyd Deese and Mattie Lou McLaney Deese.  She was married to Rupert G. Gainous for 60 years at the time of his passing on November 5, 2003.  She was a retired sales clerk and of the Baptist faith.  
Survivors include:  daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Wesley Lee, Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Missy and Jason Wilder, Cairo, GA, and Marcy Kay Lee, Cairo, GA;  great-grandchildren, Hailee Wilder, Cairo, GA, Will Wilder, Cairo, GA, Dylan Wilder, Cairo, GA.
She was preceded in death by:  husband, Rupert G. Gainous, parents; James Lloyd and Mattie Lou Deese; brother, Milton Eugene Deese;  and a sister, Lenora Robinson.  
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
