Syrupmakers dump biggest rival

Cairo scores on this 27 yard pass from Brian Walker to Chris Adams to take a 7-3 in the second quarter Friday night. The Syrupmakers defeated the Thomasville Bulldogs 7-3.

The Syrupmakers entered Friday night’s game with the Thomasville Bulldogs looking for their first win of the 2009 season and found it 7-3 to keep the Syrup Pitcher for the seventh year in a row. Cairo fumbled the opening kick off deep in their own territory and gave up a 22 yard field goal, but that would be all the scoring for the potent Thomasville offense on the night.

The Syrupmakers will be open next week then travel to Albany to play the Monroe Tornadoes in their first region game of the season in two weeks.
