Kiwanis tournament a big success

 The annual Kiwanis Club Golf Tournament was held last Thursday at the Cairo Country Club. Eleven teams competed this year and helped the local club raise needed funds to continue their community service projects in Grady County.
The overall gross score first place team was Skeet Miller, Drew Culbreth and Brian Herrell. The net score first place team was R.B. Gainous, Charles Renaud and Earl Jetter.
The second place net team was Johnny Myers, Paul Boyd and Jason Wilbourne. The third place net score team consisted of Marty Cannington, Jason Lynn and Hansell Bearden.
Other award winners included Closest to the pin winners on #6 by Thomas Bearden, and on #11 by Harry Young. The longest drive competition was won by Johnny Myers.
The Kiwanis Club thanks the many contributors and golfers who made this year’s annual tournament another big success.
