Syrupmakers hit the weight room

CHS coach Jeff Littleton instructs Syrupmaker football players during summer weight room practice.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors come in from 8-10 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and freshman come after that from 10-11 those same days.
The team has recently attended quarterback and receiver camps, and just finished an offensive line camp with former Syrupmaker coach Mike Hodges.
Passing league competitions will soon begin and the first day of summer camp is just around the corner. “The summer workouts are very instrumental in laying the foundation for a successful year. Our kids have always responded well to the workouts, and this year has been no exception. We have everyone coming in and getting their training and conditioning in. It helps us get off to a better start in July when everyone comes in already in shape,” said head coach Tom Fallaw.
The first official team meeting for the Syrupmakers will be held Monday July 21. After that, summer practices begin for the 2009 season.
