Spring sports update

The Syrupmaker soccer team won their final game of the season 4-2 over Lowndes County yesterday at West Thomas Stadium. The Makers are set to host Troup County in round one of the state AAA playoffs next Friday.

In other sports news, Cairo’s baseball game with Dougherty was changed to Wednesday April 15th. The Syrupmaker tennis team picked up a win over Westover in Albany yesterday.  Cairo’s Kelvin Hart and Lee Coxs were winners at singles play, and the doubles team of Justin Drew and Dylan Trueden were also winners.

The Syrupmaker golf team defeated Westover yesterday at the Cairo Country Club 187-198.  The Syrupmaids were also winners 114-120. The Cairo teams will play Monroe and Dougherty tomorrow at the Cairo Country Club.
