Syrupmakers win state title

QUARTERBACK Angelo Pease displays the AAA state championship trophy following Saturday night’s win at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The Cairo High School Syrupmakers Saturday night in Atlanta completed its (14-0) perfect season and won the Georgia state AAA high school football championship by defeating the Flowery Branch Falcons 28-14.
