Chamber and JDA team up with high school to hold job fair
A local job fair is planned to take place in Cairo in two weeks and will be hosted by the Cairo High School College and Career Academy, Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce and Grady County Joint Development Authority.
The job fair will be in the Cairo High School Gymnasium on Thursday, May 20, and will be open to high school juniors and seniors from 9 a.m. until noon.
From 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., the job fair will be open to the general public.
“We are calling on businesses looking to fill positions to signup and participate,” says Julian Brown, executive director of the J.D.A. “This is a great time to advertise available job openings and for job seekers to learn what is available.”
Limited spots are available for businesses, which will be responsible for bringing their own table and chairs and asked to attend both the morning and evening sessions.
Companies interested in participating should call the Chamber of Commerce at (229) 377-3663.
