Drive-thru food distribution event planned for April 27

The Help Agency in Cairo is holding its last planned drive-thru food distribution of the pandemic next week, and will reopen for their regular hours next month.
Cindy Johnson, treasurer, says the local charitable organization will hold the food drive-through on Tuesday, April 27, 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Help Agency office, 1651 N. Broad St.
Everyone is asked to wear a mask, stay in their car during the distribution, and arrive no earlier than 8:30 a.m.
“The reason for this April giveaway being the last is because the Help Agency plans to re-open on Tuesday, June 1. They will resume their regular hours of Tuesday and Wednesday mornings,” Johnson stated.
During the pandemic, the Help Agency has held drive-through food giveaways each month since July 2020.
Johnson stated, “2,218 households have received food for 6,474 family members during the distributions.”
