Georgia Trend magazine has named Grady General Hospital as one of the best small hospitals in the state, landing fourth in recognition.
“To earn this more than once shows our long term commitment to quality and satisfaction for our community and our patients,” said Crystal Wells, Grady General Hospital Administrator. “It’s important to know that it’s not one person that gets us recognized, it’s not one department, it is the whole facility that works together from dietary, to housekeeping, to nursing, and everything in between. We really put our organization forward as first and foremost to provide the best care that we can provide.”
Hospitals are classified as “small” if they have fewer than 100 beds. Cairo’s 60 bed facility has earned a spot in the top five rankings of the small hospital category consistently over the years.
The information used to compile the rankings was based on publicly reported data acquired from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, which administers the nation’s Medicare and Medicaid programs.
The data analyzed specifically relates to quality of care, patient satisfaction, mortality, readmission statistics and data on hospital acquired infections and conditions.
