Antavius Robinson
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is declining to release certain details about last week’s shooting death of Antavius Robinson of Cairo.
Jamy Steinberg, special agent in charge with the G.B.I., would not comment on how many times Robinson was shot or whether the murder weapon has been recovered.
However, Steinberg did say that Robinson, 39, was outside the suspect’s home when he was killed on Saturday, Nov. 14. Robinson had gone to the house, located in the 800 block of Pierce Chapel Road, looking for his spouse.
During what law enforcement officers describe as a domestic dispute, Robinson was shot. He died at the scene.
The Grady County Sheriff’s Office asked the G.B.I. to assist in the investigation at 3:53 a.m. Saturday, and at 6 a.m., Pascal Reddick was arrested in Thomasville.
“He was cooperative and surrendered when we made contact with him,” states Steinberg.
Reddick, 37, is charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The case is active and ongoing, and anyone with information is asked and encouraged to call the G.B.I. at (229) 225-4090 or Grady County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 377-5200.
