Police seek suspects in armed robbery of a local man
Cairo Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened outside a man’s home on 10th Street Northeast Thursday evening.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, told police that two men wearing all black clothes and masks were hiding in bushes outside his house when he arrived home at approximately 8:25 p.m. and they jumped on him.
He said he struggled with the two robbers. When another resident of the house heard the commotion and came outside, one of the suspects allegedly struck him in the head with a pistol. The reporting police officer said a swollen lump was visible on the back of the resident’s head.
