Even Grady County’s top law enforcement officer can be the victim of a crime.
Grady County Sheriff Harry Young reported to the Cairo Police on Monday that his wallet was stolen from his county vehicle Friday afternoon.
The sheriff told Cairo Police he had gone to the U.S. Post Office in Cairo on Friday at about 2 p.m., and was inside for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
When he returned to his Dodge Durango, he saw that his wallet was missing. The wallet reportedly included his license, credit cards, personal identification, and his badge.
Anyone with information about the stolen items is asked to contact Cairo Police or call 911.
