Grady County Tax Commissioner Barbara Darus reported Tuesday that 2020 ad valorem tax bills have been mailed and will be due, without penalty and interest, if paid on or before Dec. 20, 2020.
According to Darus, 14,147 bills were mailed by her office this week for a total of $18,112,770.42 due in ad valorem taxes.
In addition to collecting county taxes, Darus collects school taxes as well as ad valorem taxes for the cities of Cairo and Whigham.
The Messenger will feature the annual Top 25 taxpayers in the Oct. 28 edition of the newspaper.
