LEW OLIVER is a highly regarded community and residential designer who wants to contribute his services to Cairo.
The Lew Oliver led charrette on downtown Cairo originally scheduled to begin Monday morning, Oct. 5, has been postponed temporarily. The rescheduled date has not yet been determined, according to Cairo Main Street Director Alyssa Blakley, who says the event had to be put off “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
Oliver is a renowned urban and residential designer with Cairo roots. He and members of his Atlanta-based firm, Lew Oliver Inc., had planned to meet Monday morning with community stakeholders for a brainstorming and designing session to help create a cohesive plan for the downtown area.
Oliver is the son of Naomi Oliver and the late Cairo pastor, William Oliver.
