Food to be given away next week

The Help Agency of Grady County is continuing their monthly food aid to those in need next week.

The giveaway will take place at the Agency, located at 1651 N. Broad St., on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Everyone is asked to stay in their car and follow signs and directions.

Officials with the local charitable organization ask that no more than two families be represented per car. They also request that people wear their masks and arrive no earlier than 8:30 a.m. to avoid traffic stops on the highway.

The Agency closed after March 11 when the corona virus came to Grady County. They continue to assist Grady County citizens with utilities, rent and medical bills. Requests for assistance must be made between 9 a.m. and noon on Tuesdays by calling 229-377-2709.
