REPUBLICAN candidate Don Cole hopes to unseat incumbent, longtime Democratic lawmaker Sanford Bishop.

tour coming to Cairo
on Sept. 15
Republican congressional candidate Don Cole, a pastor, public administrator, consultant and former member of the Trump Administration announced the “Roll with Don Cole” tour of 29 counties across the 2nd Congressional District that includes a stop in Cairo next Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Cole invites citizens to come meet him and share their concerns. He will be meeting with local voters and supporters at the Grady County Republican Party in downtown Cairo beginning at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
“We are the largest Congressional District in Georgia with 29 counties, nearly a quarter of the state. Every county and every person in every county is important to me,” Cole said.
Economic development and Agriculture for the 2nd District are two of Cole’s top concerns. “After nearly 30 years of the same Democrat representing the District, little has changed for people’s lives.”
Cole’s priority is to build strong relationships with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, regional, and local development authorities across the district. “I will be a cheerleader for real economic development in the 2nd District. Georgia is the best place in the nation to do business and I will take a seat at the table to be a voice for the 2nd District.”
Agriculture is the number one economic engine in the 2nd District. Cole emphasized its importance to national security and the economy. “Agriculture forms the base of an equilateral triangle whose sides are Prosperity, Health and National Security. All are dependent on the other. If one fails, all fail so fails The United Sates.
Cole is seeking to unseat veteran Democrat Sanford Bishop in the November General Election.
The local G.O.P. headquarters is located at 115 South Broad Street.
Grady County G.O.P. Chairman Jeff Jolly encourages all interested residents to stop by and meet Cole next Tuesday evening.
