Probate Court closed until September 14

The Grady County Probate Court is currently closed to the public through Monday, Sept. 14, according to Grady County Probate Judge Denise Maddox.
Judge Maddox had to close her office due to the quarantine of court personnel for possible exposure to an individual(s) infected with COVID-19.
“We regret any inconvenience. I have alerted local attorneys of the situation and I am available to address any emergencies that may arise. Otherwise, we will delay court function until Sept. 14,” Judge Maddox said.

“No one in my office actually has or had COVID-19, but were directly exposed by family members,” Judge Maddox said.

J.C. (Buddy) Johnson III, administrator of Grady County, also reports that an employee in code enforcement and in the commission’s finance department are currently under quarantine.
