Several law enforcement agencies converged on a home on Pope Store Road Tuesday morning and took into custody a 17-year-old Mitchell County youth wanted on outstanding warrants.
Capt. Roscoe Jones with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office notified the Grady County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit that Scott Foster may be located at the residence, according to Capt. Chris Luckey, commander of the drug unit.
Luckey states, “Agents with the Grady County Drug Unit, G.B.I. Drug Unit, and Grady County patrol deputies responded to the residence around 9:51 a.m., and took Foster into custody on several outstanding warrants from Mitchell County.”
Luckey says Foster is accused of committing multiple entering autos, burglaries in the second degree, and all while possessing a firearm or knife.
“Captain Jones said it was a huge relief for Foster to be off the streets,” states Luckey. “Jones greatly appreciated all agencies who assisted in the apprehension. . . .(Grady County) Sheriff Harry Young says he is always available to assist any agencies that request help from his officers.”
Foster was transported to the Mitchell/Grady county line and released to a deputy with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office. He was being held in the Mitchell County Jail.
