THIS FORMER GROCERY STORE BUILDING will be home to a new Tractor Supply Company store later this year, according to company officials.
Tractor Supply Company is opening a store in Cairo later this year, bringing with it 15 new jobs to the community. The local store is one of 80 Tractor Supply stores opening in 2020, according to spokeswoman Abby Brown.
Sitting on the property that has been a Harvey’s and before that a Winn-Dixie grocery store is a real estate sign that indicates Tractor Supply is locating there next year, but Brown says it will be sooner.
“At this time, I can confirm that a Tractor Supply store is opening in Cairo in Fall 2020. The store will provide about 15 new jobs to the area, with at least half of those being full time positions,” she states.
Tractor Supply is known for selling products such as animal feed, pet food and supplies, propane, fencing, garden supplies, home supplies and more, according to Brown. She says during the COVID-19 pandemic, the store will offer a curbside pickup option.
The company, which has been in business for more than 80 years, operates 1,863 stores in 49 states. Tractor Supply Company also owns and operates Petsense.
