The Cairo City Council will not meet at all this month, that news coming Tuesday from city manager Chris Addleton.
Originally scheduled to meet next Monday, April 27 at 6 p.m., Addleton says the meeting has been nixed and will not be rescheduled, this follows the cancellation of the April 13 meeting.
“We are taking this situation seriously, and we hope that the public will, as well. The importance of sheltering in place and maintaining social distancing is critical to reducing the spread of this virus. Everyone must do their part,” Addleton said.
According to the city manager, the council is tentatively scheduled to meet again on Monday, May 11 at 6 p.m.
