Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and inability to commit to planning, the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce announced late last week that the decision had been made to postpone the 32nd annual Great Southern Antique Car Rally originally scheduled for May 8 and 9.
“As this pandemic (COVID-19) continues to compromise our country, we have been left with no choice but to postpone the 32nd Annual Great Southern Car Rally. We are following all national and local government guidelines to protect everyone; however, some things are unavoidable,” said chamber executive director Trey Gainous.
According to Gainous, the rally committee is looking to possibly reschedule for the fall.
“We will continue to update all of you as more information and plans are made,” Gainous said.
