Nivel Manufacturing has been designated the Hall-of-Fame Presenting Sponsor for Thomas University’s Casino Night scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Grady Cultural Center. The TU Alumni Association awarded the designation to Nivel because it is the event’s largest single sponsor for this year’s event.
“We’re rolling out the red carpet and are excited for sponsors like Nivel Manufacturing to join us,” said Casino Night Committee Chair Chelsie Cosby. The 2020 TU Casino Night theme is Casino Night in Hollywood. “And the red carpet is ready not just for our sponsors, but for others within the community, and our future students,” Cosby continued.
Since the first event in 2012, the TU Alumni Association has used Casino Night to raise tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship funds for TU’s Grady County students.
“As a Thomas University Alumni, I’m proud to see Nivel stepping up to the plate for Grady County students,” said Scott Blanton, Vice President of Supply Chain Management with Nivel. “Not only are we providing a great place to work and grow within our current workforce, but we’re looking to the future when it comes to our students.”
Twenty-seven other sponsors are joining Nivel this year, including Blough Tech, New Hire Solutions, K. Todd Butler, PC, Capital City Bank, CNS, Dollar Business Solutions, First National Bank, Grady County JDA & Cairo-Grady Co. Chamber of Commerce, Maryland Fried Chicken, Powe Automotive, Representative Darlene Taylor, Stallings Motors, Summerhill Creative, Big Bend Agri-Services, Cairo Animal Hospital, Cox Pharmacy, Graco Fertilizer, Grady County Board of Commissioners, Grady Finance, Grady General Hospital, Hobson Chevrolet Buick, Ken Young Company, Southern Insurance, Southern Promotions & Apparel, The Ranchy Peach, Total Floor Care Cleaning and Maintenance, and United National Bank. A number of businesses have also made cash donations or have donated door prizes or auction items.
Casino Night in Hollywood will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, and casino-style gambling tables operated by Vegas Nights. Event organizers are excited to see the community’s response to this year’s event.
“We’ve reached the sponsorship levels we hoped for and are looking for even more community involvement through individual and couple’s tickets,” Cosby said, “If you’re not involved with a sponsoring business, there is still time to join us for this can’t miss event!”
Individual tickets are available through the TU Office of Advancement, the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce, or Cox Pharmacy. Individual tickets are $75 and couples tickets are $125. For more information, please contact the TU’s Office of Advancement at 229-227-6903 or by email at advancement@thomasu.edu. Any Grady County resident enrolled at TU with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and no Honor Code violations is eligible to apply for one of the scholarships funded by Casino Night.
