The Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to local citizens of Grady County for their 2019 community award nominations. Awards will be considered in the following categories: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Community Service Professional of the Year and Farm Family of the Year, Large Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year.
“Awards are presented to honor and recognize outstanding individuals in our community,” explains Trey Gainous, chamber executive director. “Nominations should include a short essay that describes the nominee and why they are deserving of such an award.”
All nominations are confidential and may be submitted electronically. The form is found on the chamber’s website, www.cairogachamber.com. Click on the award descriptions to find the nomination form. Only one person should be nominated per form, Gainous says.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.
Award winners will be announced at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, which will be held on a Saturday this year, Jan. 25.
