The Grady County Board of Education will convene a special called meeting today, Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. to deal with a personnel matter, according to Grady County School Superintendent Dr. Kermit Gilliard.
The called meeting follows an internal investigation by the superintendent and school system administrative staff into alleged misconduct by a school system teacher. The investigation was launched on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and was concluded Monday.
Dr. Gilliard, citing state law regarding personnel issues, declined to offer details into the alleged misconduct or the identity of the teacher.
