LOBBY SERVICE and drive-up teller window service is no longer available at the Whigham branch of Capital City Bank.
Capital City Bank is no longer manning it branch located in Whigham, but the bank has installed new virtual banking technology for the benefit of customers in the Whigham community and surrounding area.
The Whigham location of Capital City Bank now offers extended service hours via Virtual Banking machine at its 126 East Broad Avenue.
Clients may video chat live with a Capital City Banker for one-on-one assistance with a number of transactions, including funds transfers and bill payments, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
In addition to banker-assisted services, the Virtual Banker allows clients to switch to a Smart ATM option for self-service banking 24 hours a day. The Smart ATM accepts cash and check deposits of up to 30 items at a time, and checks post same day when deposited by 8 p.m. on business days.
“The ways in which consumers interact with their bank are constantly evolving,” said Charles Davis, Capital City Bank’s Grady County president. “Our clients live active lifestyles, and much of our recent innovation has been to incorporate technology that gives them the power to manage their finances when and where their schedules allow. We’re excited to be the first among our local industry peers to offer this convenience.”
As of June 30, the branch is no longer staffed so lobby service and drive-up teller service has been discontinued.
Virtual Bankers and Smart ATMs are the latest in the ever-expanding line of convenient banking tools offered at Capital City Bank. Combined with online and mobile banking with mobile deposit, clients are able to deposit checks, track activity on their accounts, keep tabs on their balances and pay bills, among other things, when and where they choose, even after traditional business hours.
