Georgia District 173 State Representative Darlene Taylor will be the featured speaker that the next meeting of the Grady County Historical Society.
The society meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, beginning at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Cairo City Council Chamber located in the Roddenbery Building, North Broad Street in downtown Cairo.
Representative Taylor will be speaking on legislative action from an historical perspective.
The program will follow a brief meeting and the evening will close with the serving of light refreshments in the Grady County Museum and History Center next door.
All members of the society and any local resident interested in attending are encouraged to come and participate.
This will be the last meeting of the Historical Society until meetings resume in the fall.
