Grand Jury orders investigation of members of the county commission

A Grady County Grand Jury has ordered an investigation into possible improper or unethical transactions by members of the Grady County Commission, according to Grand Jury presentments published on Page A7 of this issue of The Messenger.
The Grand Jury convened on Sept. 17 and by a vote of eight or more of its members decided to launch the investigation.
Members of the Grand Jury, lead by Foreman Linda A. Spires and Alt. Foreman Nancy Bell McClenny, have instructed District Attorney Joe Mulholland to subpoena those “individuals and/or documentation” that would answer any of the inquiries requested.
