Memorial Day observance to be held at Davis Park

Memorial Day will be observed Monday, May 28 at Davis Park in Cairo beginning at 10 a.m. The ceremony is being hosted by American Legion Posts 122 and 544 along with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8433.
Jesse L. Hobby, major, United States Army (retired), will be the keynote speaker. Masters of Ceremonies will be Post 122 Commander John Ulrich and VFW Post 8433 Commander Charles Jackson.
A special recognition of two local World War II veterans is planned and tributes to all Grady County servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation will be presented.
Local veterans encourage the community to attend the Monday morning service.
