National Day of Prayer is May 3
Next Thursday, May 3, Grady countians will join with Americans across the nation to observe the National Day of Prayer.
Citizens are asked to participate beginning at 11:30 a.m. next Thursday at one of seven remote locations and then come together for a joint prayer session beginning at noon at the Zebulon Theater.
A youth-lead prayer session will be held at 7 p.m. at Family Worship Center and citizens of all ages are invited, but youth are particularly encouraged to participate in the evening session.
Prayers for the local business community will be offered at the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce; for local churches at Whigham United Methodist Church; for the public schools at the Grady County School System Central Office; for local families at WalMart; for government at the Grady County Courthouse; for the media at The Cairo Messenger; and for the armed serves at Veteran’s Park in downtown Cairo.
