Set sail on the “Love Boat for Education” on Saturday night

“The Love Boat for Education” will come into port as Thomas University holds its Casino Night fundraiser this weekend. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, at the Grady Cultural Center, 101 First St. NW, Cairo.
The cruise ship themed event will include casino games, food, auctions, a raffle, dinner and drinks all to raise money for student scholarships. A VIP sponsors’ event will start at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening for all patrons at 7 p.m.
This year’s event marks the fifth time TU has held a Casino Night fundraiser. All proceeds from the event go toward scholarships at Thomas University. Individual tickets are $50 and include $1,000 in play money for the casino games, a dinner buffet, two drink tickets and a raffle ticket. “The Casino Night events are always a great way to have fun while supporting a great cause,” said Grady Enlow, TU’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “Attendees always have a great time and enjoy the opportunity to see old friends and win prizes while helping TU students.”
Thomas University officials say a few sponsorship opportunities are still available with packages ranging from $250 to $1,500 with various benefits for each level. For more information, contact Ashlund Edwards at 229-227-6903 or advancement@thomasu.edu.
