Restaurateurs are victims of weekend armed robbery

Cairo Police are looking for four men connected to a late night armed robbery of three restaurateurs. The operators of San Marco’s Mexican Restaurant in Cairo had just dropped off an employee in northeast Cairo and were driving north on Sixth Street Northeast when the robbery happened Saturday soon after midnight.
The victims said a silver or grey four-door car pulled in front of their pick up truck and two men got out and ran towards the truck as two other men came up from behind. The suspects grabbed the three male victims, held them at gunpoint and demanded their money. One of the perpetrators hit one victim in the face with a handgun.
The victims told police the robbers stole money and a Samsung 3 cell phone and then fled the scene in the silver car, traveling east.
The victims said they were unsure if the suspects had followed them from work. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Cairo Police.
