Grady EMC is collecting canned goods for food bank
The Grady County community is being encouraged to participate in the “Feeding Hope Food Drive” being conducted by Grady EMC in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank.
Donations of nonperishable goods are being accepted now through Thursday, July 6. The food drive kicked off Tuesday.
To make a donation, drop by the lobby of the EMC headquarters, 1499 U.S. Hwy. 84 West between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The EMC office will be closed Tuesday, July 4.
All of the donated items will be transported by Grady EMC to Second Harvest Food Bank.
“Grady EMC strives to be a strong supporter of the communities we serve and we are going to be increasing that focus through a new GEMC Cares promotion,” Grady EMC President and General Manager Bo Rosser said Tuesday.
“We would appreciate any and all donation. This is an area of great need in our community,” Rosser added.
