Zebulon’s “Jewels and Jeans” to be held Feb. 25
A special fundraiser to benefit the community-owned Zebulon Theater will be held later this month and organizers are extending an invitation for everyone to attend.
Jewels and Jeans 2017 will be held Saturday night, Feb. 25, beginning at 6 p.m. at the theater.
A social hour with cocktails and appetizers will be served from 7 p.m. The silent auction opens at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude at 7:30 p.m. at which time the live auction will begin.
The list of live auction items is growing and will include, but is not limited to a 55-inch HD LED television, half-day fishing trip, 45-quart Yeti cooler, a lake house weekend, a beach house weekend and a fire pit.
Over 20 items have already been donated for the silent auction.
Businesses and individuals wishing to support the Zebulon by donating items for either the live or silent auction are encouraged to call the theater at 229-377-3302 and leave a message.
There will be special raffles during the evening including one for a gas grill, a mystery box donated by the Wine Rack, three-fourths carat diamond earrings, and a 9 mm handgun with a box of ammunition.
The raffle tickets are $20 each and can be purchased in advance from the theater or Bishop’s Jewelry.
Proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new popcorn machine and renovations of the historic theater.
