Public meeting on regional plan and economic development to be held here

The Southwest Georgia Regional Commission will be hosting a public meeting here next week to discuss a regional plan and economic development strategy with local residents and elected officials.
The community session is to be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. next Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Roddenbery Memorial Library.
The Regional Commission is inviting local business owners, elected officials and the general public to stop by the library to address regional issues including housing, community development, transportation, regional strengths and weaknesses as well as natural and cultural resources.
Regional Commission staff members will be providing information on these issues and seeking input from the citizenry to assist in formulating an over-all assessment of the region.
