Annual Clinton 5K Run and Walk is this Saturday

A memorial 5K Run and Walk in the name of late educator Lateesha Faulk Clinton takes place Saturday at Southside Elementary School in Cairo. The run/walk will benefit an educational scholarship fund for projects and opportunities for students at Southside, where Clinton was principal when she passed away suddenly in February 2013.
Registration is now $20 and takes place in the school lobby between 8 a.m. and 8:50 a.m., Saturday. Checks may be made out to Southside Elementary School.
The run begins at 9 a.m. at Southside, 491 Third St., SE.
Participants will follow a course through neighborhood streets in the school’s vicinity.
Top male and female winners will receive awards, as will the top finishers in specific age groups.
