Commissioner calls for courthouse cleanup
Grady County Commissioner Elwyn Childs said last Tuesday night that first impressions are lasting impressions and he called for some attention being paid to the appearance of the county courthouse.
“It’s kindly a disgrace. Time does a lot to people and buildings. Our entrances and sidewalks are awful. It all needs to be cleaned and pressure washed. We need to look at getting cleaned up as soon as possible,” Childs said.
Chairman T.D. David agreed and asked if Building and Grounds Superintendent Brian Harrison and his crew could do the work.
County Administrator Carlos Tobar said Harrison and his crew could do the work and he would meet with them about it.
“It’s going to take someone with a pressure washer who knows what he is doing to get it clean,” Commissioner Childs stated.
Chairman David recommended that Tobar and Harrison inspect all entrances to the courthouse to make sure they are tidy.
