Zebulon offering special of two tickets for $5

To celebrate the successful conversion of the new digital projection system at The Zebulon Theater, Sony Pictures and the community owned local theater are offering a limited time special of two general admissions tickets for only $5.
This weekend’s feature presentation is Sony Picture’s “When the Game Stands Tall,” which is inspired by a true story. The movie brings to life the incredible winning streak of the De La Salle High School football team, which racked up 151 straight victories over 12 years.
All along the way, as Coach Bob Ladouceur builds his seemingly invincible national powerhouse, he has emphasized purpose and significance rather than streaks and titles. But when real-life adversity leaves the team reeling, the Spartans must decided if the sacrifice, commitment and teamwork they have always trusted in can rebuild what is now disintegrating around them.
The film is one hour and 55 minutes long and is rated PG.
Showtimes this weekend are Friday, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Zebulon officials also announced this week that the sound system has been fully upgraded to add to quality, digital picture. Prior to the upgrade patrons had difficulty with hearing voices of characters in loud scenes in movies, but that issue has been resolved, officials report.
