Addleton tapped for municipal association advisory council

Cairo City Manager Chris Addleton has been appointed to serve on a Member Services Advisory Council for the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA).
The role of the council is to provide ongoing feedback to the GMA staff on services needed to help cities operate more effectively and efficiently.
The group will meet three to four times a year and is comprised of a mix of elected and appointed city officials. It is chaired by GMA 3rd Vice President Boyd Austin, mayor of Dallas.
“Chris brings great knowledge of city operations and needs to this group,” said GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton. “We appreciate him participating in the council and the role it will play in defining the future of GMA and cities.”
