Second annual Taste of the Town to be held next Saturday night

Local cuisine will be the highlight of next week’s “Taste of the Town” benefit for the Grady General Support League with both commercial and home cooks bringing their best dishes to serve up to those on hand.
The second annual fundraiser will take place at Grady Cultural Center from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 8.
The individuals serving up tasty creations throughout the evening are Louise and Bob Anderson; Mark Bradley; Cristina Brown; Paul and Yoyo Davis; Larry Harden; Vincent Hubbard; Miley Johnson (2nd Chance Animal Shelter); Teresa Jones; Natholyn Lee; Lisa and Ken LeGette; Takara McCrae; Katy Meissner; Stacy Munford; Drew Pyrz (Center Drugs); and Charles Renaud.
Commercial participants include Aunt Shirley’s Brittle/Teresa Pearce; Gilliard’s Store; Grady General Hospital’s 5th Street Cafe’/Beth Skaja; Jose’s; Maryland Fried Chicken; Mr. Chick; Pearson BBQ; and Yum Yum.
Money raised at “Taste of the Town” will be used to buy a high powered microscope for the lab at Grady General Hospital.
Throughout the evening the Thomas University Jazz Ensemble will perform as revelers mingle and taste their way through the venue.
