Grady General Hospital and Cairo Internal Medicine have welcomed internal medicine physician Meghann Blankenship, M.D., to the practice and the hospital’s medical staff.
Dr. Blankenship joins James K. Hester, M.D., Jason NeSmith, M.D., and Jennifer Ruddell, P.A.-C., in seeing adult patients.
Dr. Blankenship earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
“I’m excited to join Dr. Hester, Dr. NeSmith and Jennifer in providing healthcare for the citizens of Grady County,” said Blankenship. “I look forward to being a part of the Archbold health system and the Grady County community.”
Cairo Internal Medicine and Dr. Blankenship are accepting new patients and welcome Medicaid and Medicare.
Adult patients may see the internal medicine doctors for care with chronic diseases, preventive measures, wellness exams and acute conditions requiring hospitalizations. Dr. Blankenship will also see patients for women’s health needs.
