Ice cream social to benefit rescue

The public is invited to attend a Fundraiser “Under the Tent” to support Cairo’s Second Chance Animal Rescue next week.
The ice cream social will include several activities including free dog washes by appointment, demonstrations by Mr. Scott, balloon artist, face painting and a sure to be popular “Puppies Zone.”
Second Chance, located at 1960 U.S. 84, currently has 22 dogs up for adoption.
The ice cream social is taking place with the support of several local and area businesses including Stallings Motors, Clark Funeral Home, Annell’s Flower Shop, Pepsi Bottling Co., and Bluebell Ice Cream.
The fund raiser is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Second Chance Animal Rescue. For more information call 229-224-8393.
