“Taste of the Town” is set for March 2

Good food is on the menu for next month’s Taste of the Town – Spring Sampler in which Grady County restaurants and local cooks will serve up some their signature dishes.
The event is a fund raiser to benefit Grady General Support League, and will take place at the Woman’s Club on Saturday, March 2, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In addition to the fine food, Taste of the Town will include a “Cupcake War,” between Grady General Hospital departments. Local baker and restaurateur Kim Huggins along with Cairo Fire Chief Jim Fieldings will judge the cupcake efforts and determine which hospital department will win bragging rights for the best creation. Luckily, those in attendance will get a chance to taste the sweet desserts.
In addition to the culinary delights, a jazz band will perform throughout the evening in the courtyard.
Advance tickets are $20 each and may be purchased from any board member of Grady General Support League or at the following locations: Capital City Bank, United National Bank, Chamber of Commerce, Center Drugs, Dollar Business Solutions, Hester’s Insurance Agency, Cairo Eye Care, Kingfish Korners and Grady General Hospital.
