Early voting wraps up Friday at 5 p.m.
Early voting in the District 11 Senate special election runoff opened Monday and as of late Tuesday over 200 votes in Grady County had been cast.
The election is between Bainbridge physician Dean Burke and former state representative Mike Keown of Coolidge.
Chief Registrar Jean Marshall reported Tuesday afternoon that 252 early ballots had been cast and that 20 absentee ballots had been requested. Of those eight have been mailed back to the registrar.
Voters can cast ballots now through Friday at 5 p.m. in the registrar’s office on the first floor of the Grady County courthouse.
Those who prefer to vote on the actual election day may do so next Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
