Voting begins for the “Best of Grady County”

Let the voting begin!
It’s that time again when the readers of The Cairo Messenger have the opportunity to vote for the “Best of Grady County.”
On page B8 of this issue of The Cairo Messenger you will find a ballot to cast your votes for the “Best Of Grady County” as part of the newspaper’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards Contest.
Each week for the next four consecutive weeks, a ballot with a large number of categories covering shopping and services, food and drink, and people will be published.
There is even a miscellaneous category for someone or some type of business or service provider we haven’t thought of.
“This is a fun way to celebrate Grady County businesses and services by allowing our readers to judge which businesses and people are doing a great job,” said Messenger Editor and Publisher Randolph H. Wind.
Readers may vote as many times as they like, but they must cast ballots on original ballot pages from The Messenger. NO PHOTOCOPIES will be accepted.
You do not have to vote in every category, but at least half of the categories per ballot must be filled out in order for the ballot to be counted.
Ballots may be dropped off at The Cairo Messenger office at 31 First Ave. N.E. or mailed to P.O. Box 30, Cairo, GA 39828. Ballots will be accepted through Monday, Feb. 4, 2013. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Feb. 4, 2013, to be included in the tabulation.
Winners will receive recognition, and they will also be featured in The Cairo Messenger’s “Best of Grady County Special Edition” to be published in early March.
“Make sure to vote for your favorite business, service provider and person. They cannot win unless you vote. In this case you can actually vote early and often!” Wind said.
